Reunion Gig Alert!!

Feeling incredibly nostalgic today looking at this banner. Takes me back to Calgary's thriving live scene of the '90s...

Remember the endless venues? Bar hopping on Electric Avenue? The heavy music traffic of bands touring across Canada and playing packed university shows? It was a pure music revolution, and we got to experience it before cell phones.

Rhuban Phero was an absolutely vital part of my musical development. While I was deeply embedded in studying jazz at the time, this band gave me a chance to play something completely different—it was a true outlet. We’re talking incredible musicians with incredible musicianship.

I have so many fond memories of those days. It's unbelievable that it’s been 30 years since *Skip to the Hits* was released.

I am thrilled to see us getting back together for a reunion show! If you were part of that era and want to relive a bit of that magic (and support some amazing local legends), join us at The Trop Bar & Grill on June 25th. If you weren't, come check out an authentic 90s band.

Sometimes when the sound system doesn’t work, you leave the stage and play in the middle of the audience. That’s what John did in a split second so the show would go on — and what an impactful decision it was. People leaned in, listened, and engaged. Over the next three days, many told us it was their favourite moment of the festival.

I had an incredible summer of music. You get close to people when you play together, and you get close when you share it. A HUGE thank you to everyone who leaned in to listen, to @johnworthannam for his heart and songs, to @scottthefiddler for the talent and the cool hang, and to my wife @karinavalleau for bringing sunshine, wonder, and fresh eyes on what it’s like to be “on the road again.”
