All music, no matter what style or expression, when played well and with dedicated spirit, has the power to change lives.

Sometimes when the sound system doesn’t work, you leave the stage and play in the middle of the audience. That’s what John did in a split second so the show would go on — and what an impactful decision it was. People leaned in, listened, and engaged. Over the next three days, many told us it was their favourite moment of the festival.

I had an incredible summer of music. You get close to people when you play together, and you get close when you share it. A HUGE thank you to everyone who leaned in to listen, to @johnworthannam for his heart and songs, to @scottthefiddler for the talent and the cool hang, and to my wife @karinavalleau for bringing sunshine, wonder, and fresh eyes on what it’s like to be “on the road again.”
